Bedugul – Tanah Lot Temple
Pick up at 9:30 am, 10 hours – 11 hours
This trip takes you initially through relatively flat rice field country. As we climb higer into the mountains the rice plots become smaller and terraced on the mountainside
The first stop is the royal temple of Mengwi ,Pura Taman Ayun. This picturesque temple complex dates back to 1634 and is surrounded by a moat and has multi roosed shtines and intricately
carved wooden gates.
Our journey continues to to fruit and coffee plantation, agriculture, stop at coffee and fruit plantation try coffee, ginger tea, chocolate. Also the area have animal called a mongoose (luwak = Indonesian). these litle mammals live in the trees and favourite foods is red coffee, ripe coffee cherry. “Luwak” eat the cherries, in stomach undergoes chemical treatment and fermentation.
The bean finishes its journey through digestive system and exits. The beans are collected from forest, are cleaned, roasted like any other coffee. The resulting coffee is said to be different with other coffee.
This is the best of coffee on the world.
As we drive higher , countryside changes again with mosses, creepers and ferns.
Nearly there we find Bedugul village, in Bedugul famous to see; Botanical garden, treetops plays adventure on botanical garden, Temple Ulun Danu Bratan. Bedugul is 850 meters above sea level. Serene lake Bratan fills the ancient crater of mount. The local people Hinduism the Goddess of the water “Dewi Danu”. The small temple of Ulun Danu dedicated to this Goddess, is built on small promontory on the lake. On the way back we stop take lunch time, nearly there.
After lunch drive down to Tanah lot temple, one of most famous sunset. This 16th century temple built on black lava rock 200 meter off shore, tide permitting.

11.00 – Visit Taman Ayun temple
11.50 – Visit coffee and fruit plantation
13.00 – Visit Pura Ulun Danu Bratan

16.30 – Visit Tanah Lot Temple
18.30 – Back to hotel
19.30 – Arrive to Hotel
